2024-01-08 00:46:22

Edgar Castillo went on to play for several of the most important teams in the Liga MX and he even wore some MLS checkered shirts. Today, at 37 years of age and far from glamour, he continues as a soccer player, but in plain matches.

‘Gringo’ Castillo began playing professionally with Santos Laguna, with whom he debuted in 2005. He stayed there until 2008 and then made the leap to America. His career in Liga MX included various teams such as Tigres, San Luis, Puebla, Tijuana, Atlas and Monterrey.

In 2018 he decided to leave Mexico and emigrate to the MLS, where he played for teams such as Colorado, New England, Atlanta and Cincinnati. His love for soccer does not end, but today he already demands a national title. He already does it for fun.

Through El Chute TV’s Tiktok account, a video of the player born in the United States was shown wearing a León uniform and playing in the talacha, that is, amateur leagues. In the images you can see the player giving instructions and showing a little of the talent that always characterized him during his professional career.

Castillo became a league champion in Mexico with Santos and Tijuana, also a Cup champion with Monterrey and was even nationally selected for the United States, but his love for soccer lasts forever and he shows it that way.
