An alleged member of the National Police (PN) and an accomplice are being accused of sexually abusing two minors, one aged 12 and the other aged 14, causing the death of one of them, in the province of Uíge. The crime took place in the municipality of Dange Quitexe, then some officers stopped the victims on the public road and took them to the Municipal Command.
According to Novo Jornal, the following day, a police officer and an accomplice, who pretended to be the uncle of one of the victims, went to the command and the agent spoke to his colleagues to release the girls in exchange for 5,000 kwanzas. After being released, the individuals, under strong threats, took the girls to a residence where they raped them, with one of the minors, aged 12, suffering a hemorrhage.
The supposed uncle went to the teenager’s house to inform her family regarding her health. The girl’s relatives went to the place where she was and took her to the Vila hospital, where she ended up losing her life. The father of the deceased reported to the police, who immediately detained the agent, the false uncle and the young woman who survived, to be interviewed.
However, in the report of SOS-Criança, from last week, to which the newspaper OPAÍS had access, there is the highlighted case, whose victims are 12 and 14 years old, who had been kept in private prison, raped, and the first died due to hemorrhage.
In this report, INAC speaks of two adults, one of whom is a public servant, but does not say that he is a police officer. A source from the newspaper OPAÍS said that, in the near future, the Police in Uíge will comment on the matter.
