In Podolsk, near Moscow, in the Klimovsk microdistrict, more than 40 apartment buildings remain without heat due to an accident that occurred on January 4. This was reported by the press service of the governor and the regional government.

“Yesterday the first boiler was launched here, today the second one. In the near future, heat supply will be restored in another 44 houses. 90% of residential buildings in Klimovsk will already be connected to heat,” reports press service of the governor and the regional government.

According to the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, restoration work in some areas is complicated by the frozen highway. It had to be dismantled and re-laid.

Breakthrough on the heating main in Podolsk near Moscow occurred on January 4. On this day, the air temperature outside reached 20 degrees below zero. Heating was turned off in 173 residential buildings in the Klimovsk microdistrict. The accident was resolved only on the morning of January 5. By evening, warmth began to return to the first 20 houses. A criminal case has been initiated regarding restrictions on the supply of energy resources to residential buildings and organizations. The heating main failure occurred due to improper operation of the boiler room. Searches and interrogations are being conducted to determine the causes of the accident.
