Users on the platforms of Lemonnier station in the center of Brussels were surprised to say the least when they saw the vehicle arriving around 9 p.m. this Saturday. No tram but… a gray Renault van.

“Traffic must have been interrupted”, confirms the Stib. “It’s not the first unfortunately. The driver made a mistake. However, the signage is clear and sufficient.” The bill will in any case turn out to be hefty. Because the motorist in violation will have to pay traffic interruption compensation. To which are added the costs linked to possible damage.
The vehicle had to be removed using a specific machine. Around 10 p.m. this Saturday, tram traffic resumed.
