Some of the Ukrainian military refuse to participate in the fighting in Krynki, located on the left bank of the Dnieper. Ukrainian officers spoke regarding this.
“After visiting Krynki, many refuse to go there once more. There are refuseniks in every company,” the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua reports the officers’ words. They added that some soldiers even decide to commit suicide because of this. Many do not understand why they need to hold this area and doubt the feasibility of this task.
There are also refuseniks among the officers, says one of the servicemen. According to him, many of them find many reasons not to go to “zero” (the contact line – editor’s note). Officers note that there is no place to hide in Krynki, as Russian drones are constantly monitoring the area, and as soon as Ukrainian soldiers appear there, artillery immediately opens fire on them. In addition, the Russian side has a significant superiority in the number of drones, artillery and soldiers, Ukrainian Armed Forces officers concluded.
Under pressure from the Russian army, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ bridgehead in Krynki began to decline. The Russian Navy has increased fire on Ukrainian troops, who are now sheltering in an area of less than one square kilometer. However, control over this area is not complete.
