Apple has been offering a fun app for creating videos on the iPhone and iPad for a few years now. baptized by Clipsit allows, among other things, you to add Memojis, stickers, texts and effects.

Still on effects, Maçã took the opportunity to expand the use of Clips on devices that have the scanner LiDAR (responsible for enabling the use of room scanning apps, for example), through a feature called AR Spaces (AR Spaces).

With these effects, you can transform your recording environment with cool visual effects that interact with the items in it.

Compatibility

As we mentioned above, AR Spaces require an iPhone or iPad equipped with a LiDAR scanner, that is:

iPhones

  • iPhones 12 Pro e 12 Pro Max
  • iPhones 13 Pro e 13 Pro Max
  • iPhones 14 Pro e 14 Pro Max
  • iPhones 15 Pro e 15 Pro Max

iPads

  • 11″ iPad Pro (all generations)
  • 12.9″ iPad Pro (4th generation and later)

How to use AR Spaces

Open a video or start one from scratch within Clips. Then, tap the effects button (represented by a colored star) and the AR Spaces feature symbol (the second one, from left to right).

Choose “Start Scan” and move/rotate the iPhone or iPad so that the LiDAR sensor maps the environment. When it is complete, tap “Start Effects” and choose one of them at the bottom of the screen.

In total, 13 options are available:

  • Broken hearts
  • Emoji Series
  • Money
  • Bubbles
  • Modern
  • Neon
  • Confetti
  • Prisma
  • Disco
  • Dance floor
  • Glitter
  • Stardust
  • Hearts

Once you choose one of them, start recording normally.
