The Indian sun observing spacecraft has reached its destination, marking another space achievement, following the successful landing of a spacecraft near the south pole of the moon last year.
The Aditya-L1 spacecraft, which was launched last September, reached a point 1.5 million kilometers (932,000 miles) away from Earth, according to the Indian Space Agency on Saturday, according to Bloomberg News Agency today.
The site is part of a distance of up to 150 million kilometers between the Earth and the sun.
India became the first country to be able to land a spacecraft near the south pole of the moon in 2023, following Russia’s attempt to land on the moon in the same region ended in failure, due to an engine malfunction.
