– La Thune du Cœur is (almost) over!
Last call for donors who would still like to slip a small coin to Jules. The pig is preparing to distribute all its donations to the three beneficiary associations.

And there you have it, the holidays are already behind us. The time has now come to put away the tree and make your good resolutions for 2024. Some will return to sport intensely, others will quit smoking or take on the challenge of Dry January. Jules, who does not drink alcohol, spends the beginning of the year counting his money. Because January also marks the end of our Thune du Cœur operation.
For this 28th edition, you gave work to Jules. There are your digital donations, sent by bank transfer or via our QR code. But also your coins, gray or gold, and your colorful notes slipped into the belly of our piggy bank. Between Christmas and New Year, many of you came to show your generosity at the reception of the “Tribune de Genève”.
Anonymous and sock donations
Some offerings came to us anonymously, in envelopes or even food bags or socks! Others are accompanied by small greeting cards and kind words that reflect the diversity of your individual initiatives. A big thank you to the Plan-les-Ouates Firefighters Association who placed Jules’ little brother during his evening at the municipal Christmas Market. As well as the group of friends from the Courette des Noirettes who collected a jar of penny coins during their last aperitif.
There were also the auctions and the generous participation of four Geneva personalities: Robert Mayer, goalkeeper of Genève-Servette HC (GSHC), Laura Felber, of Servette FC Chênois Féminin (SFCCF), the head of Bayview Danny Khezzar and the designer Example. Everyone took part in the game and the auctions of the 28th Thune du Cœur alone brought in more than 5,600 francs! The opportunity to thank them, once once more, as well as the GSHC, the SFCCF and the Hôtel Président Wilson.
The total amount raised remains secret for the moment. It will soon be revealed to the three beneficiary associations, Partage, Au Cœur des Grottes and Carrefour-Rue & Coulou. So you have a few days left to make a donation and raise this fund of hearts a little further.
But if we were already to take stock of this 28th edition, Jules can only rejoice to see that your kindness is as great as his belly is paunchy. Unfortunately, at the dawn of this new year, the demand for food aid continues to increase, inflation affects all households and the voluntary sectors are cruelly lacking in volunteers. So, what if our true resolution was generosity all year round?

This year, the amount collected by Thune du Cœur will go to Partage, Cœur des Grottes and Carrefour rue & Coulou.
To make a donation, you can: make a bank transfer or deposit money in our piggy bank at the Tribune de Genève reception at 11 rue des Rois.
