Designer bar stools, designer leather sofas, designer stools: the Signa headquarters was elaborately furnished and even the toilet paper holders had a special bronze look. All of this is now being auctioned off, with starting prices ranging from three euros for umbrella stands or clothes hangers to a conference table for around 3,000 euros. This elaborately designed “presidential table” has a diameter of more than eight meters and offers space for 20 people. The items also include a custom-made marble room divider, the new price of which was 60,000 euros, according to the auction house Aurena. The starting price is 3000 euros, there are no bids yet.
The office of ex-Signa manager Claus Stadler, the equipment of numerous workstations and lounges and three e-city bikes will also be auctioned. If you want a small Signa “souvenir” you can also bid for project brochures or 3D building models. As of Friday morning, the most bids were for the “European Real Estate Brand Awards 2020” (starting price: ten euros, current bid: 40 euros).
The pieces will be sold to the highest bidder in three online auctions, with the winnings taking place on January 19th and February 2nd, respectively. The purchased items can then be taken with you straight away. A viewing is possible in advance, but you must register. On the Homepage The auction house contains all pieces including photos and descriptions. The palace should be cleared by the beginning of March 2024, the Aurena auction house said in a press release.
But it’s not just the interior of the Palais Harrach that is being rejected: there are also a few special features in the collection Signa Holding, which are now also to be monetized, as can be seen from the edict file. For example, the estate of the Austrian actress Hedy Lamarr, following whom the planned luxury department store on Vienna’s Mariahilferstrasse was to be named. The value of the estate is estimated at 15,000 euros. And in Zurich, the renovation manager found three Omega Seamaster Diver watches worth almost 17,500 euros, which are also being offered for sale. Also the fixed and current assets Signa Holding in Vienna’s Palais Ferstl as well as the Innsbruck headquarters and its furnishings will either be auctioned off, sold as a complete package or in partial packages.
With a little patience, further opportunities to buy or bid cheaply may open up in the near future. Finally, the tax office registered a lien on Benko’s villa due to unpaid sales tax. And the property and its furnishings are quite something. The villa with 4,427 square meters of usable building space, around 785 square meters of terraces and a pool of almost 100 square meters – including the demolition of the old castle hotel – cost around 60 million euros. The villa has a home cinema, a panic room and an underground car park with around a dozen parking spaces. If the property and the inventory are auctioned, 28 LED panels from the home cinema will go under the hammer, among other things. The purchase price was 270,000 euros. Appraisers currently estimate the value of the property at 86.6 million euros, reported the “Krone”.
