Relief supplies have also left Kagoshima for areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

So far, 94 people have died in the Noto Peninsula earthquake on the 1st of this month, and 222 people are still missing.

Relief supplies include disaster toilets, food, and drinks, which Kagoshima City’s volunteer group Food Bank Kagoshima called out on social media and collected.

“The citizens of the prefecture worked tirelessly to collect supplies. We will make sure they reach the disaster area and deliver them to those in need.”

On the 5th, a wagon loaded with supplies departed for Ishikawa Prefecture.

We are working with local volunteer organizations to arrive as quickly as possible.

In addition, Ishikawa Prefecture and other prefectures have urged people to refrain from moving general vehicles to the Noto region, saying that “road congestion may hinder rescue and recovery efforts.”
