ORF DG Weißmann: “We don’t have to put up with everything”
Vienna (OTS) – The allegations currently made in an APA statement by VÖZ and in various print and online media that the ORF-G and thus also the newly created offer from ORF.at would be a “sham package” and that the ORF would be included ORF General Director Mag. Roland Weißmann firmly rejects the idea of using “tricks”.
“Healthy competition is one thing, the accusation of being unfair is another. Then the limit of what you have to put up with has been reached. The reorganization of ORF.at complies with the legal requirements in all respects and at the same time is obliged to those millions of users who rightly demand that an ‘ORF for all’ continues to be informed in the best possible way. Unfortunately, as part of this campaign once morest ORF’s online presence, reporting is mixed with owner interests, as has been the case in recent months.
