The 24 teams participating in the 2023 FIFA Asian Cup Qatar announced the lists of their players, who will compete in this continental competition, which is hosted by Doha, starting from January 12 until next February 10.
The Asian Football Confederation said in a statement today on its official website: With eight days remaining until the start of the eighteenth edition of the most important tournaments on the Asian continent at the level of national teams, the lists of national teams include a group of the biggest stars, along with a number of future stars.
The Qatar national team, the holders of the last edition’s title, stands out in the ranks of Almoez Ali, the best player and top scorer in the previous edition, along with midfielder Akram Afif, while the Japanese national team includes a squad characterized by the presence of many professional players in Europe, and the Australian national team relies on a combination of Experienced stars and talented young players.
Striker Son Heung-min will lead the Republic of Korea team, which is looking to end the period of absence from the coronation, and obtain the third title in the history of the tournament, while Salem Al-Dosari stands out at the top of the Saudi team list, which is searching for the fourth title, and Mehdi Taremi leads the Iranian team.
The 2023 Asian Cup Qatar will start on January 12, with host Qatar meeting Lebanon at Lusail Stadium, which will also host the final match on February 10.
