K1 kickboxing fans would be wrong to miss this day which will take place in two stages. The followingnoon will be devoted to the Tarn trophy before an international gala in the evening.

After last year’s success, this second Tarn trophy will feature a field of 80 competitors, from children to adults, in K1 and kickboxing. This departmental championship should end around 4 p.m.

After a redevelopment of the Halle d’Occitanie, the doors of the latter will reopen at 6:30 p.m. for the gala. “We need to prepare the room with the lights, even if a lot of things will be prepared the day before. It will take an hour of interruption to clean the room and prepare the VIP tables,” explains Jordi Moreno, organizer of the event.

International champions and twelve fights on show

The first fight is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. Amateurs, semi-pros, pros and international champions will take turns in the ring for twelve fights (two amateurs, five semi-pro fights and five professional fights). We will find competitors from Afghanistan, Moldova, Romania, Morocco, Algeria, France and Spain.

“For example, we will welcome Jonathan Lestrade, K1 world champion, who will face a champion from Bilbao. There will be three world champions and belts at stake,” says Jordi Moreno.

Jimmy Vienot will be present at this gala as guest of honor. Seven times world champion, five times European champion and five times French Thai boxing champion, he is one of the most successful French boxers at only 26 years old.

In the ring, we will find Tom Casse who started at the Lavaur boxing club at the age of eight. Champion of France, he is today a professional boxer. He will face the Moroccan champion, with undoubtedly the support of the public.

It is thanks to his contacts and thirty years of practice that Jordi Moreno, former European champion, was able to organize such an event in the city of Jaquemart. The traditional weigh-in will take place the evening before at the Ibis hotel before an aperitif dinner. “All this was only possible with the help of numerous partners and sponsors. Without them, nothing would have been possible,” underlines Jordi Moreno.

Reservations can be made with the club or on the website helloasso.com.
