An 86-year-old man was killed in a traffic accident in Millstatt (Spittal/Drau district) on Tuesday. The local man was driving on a state road when he took a right-hand bend and drove straight into a parking lot and then crashed his car over a seven-meter-high embankment wall onto a municipal road below. The car came to rest on the roof. A woman driving past called the emergency services, the police reported.
The 86-year-old was trapped in the severely deformed vehicle and was unconscious when emergency services arrived. The emergency doctor might only determine that the man was dead.
