Singer Philip Kirkorov, during his New Year’s greetings, announced an “unmeasurable number of enemies.” The artist’s appeal appeared on his Instagram page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
“This year [2023] put a lot of things in their place, opened my eyes to many: who is a friend, who is an enemy. Fortunately, I have a lot of friends. There are countless enemies, there are plenty of them too,” Kirkorov said.
According to him, life will become uninteresting if everything is bland and positive. “We begin to appreciate the most basic things when we are ‘lowered from heaven to earth,’” the singer concluded.
On the night of December 21, a party was held in Moscow, organized by blogger Anastasia Ivleeva. Guests came to the party in revealing outfits. Some of the guests, such as singer Lolita Milyavskaya and journalist Ksenia Sobchak, emphasized that the party was in the style of art and guests don’t have to apologize for his appearance at a closed event. After attending the “naked party,” Kirkorov’s performance at the Moscow Art Theater was canceled. The artist was removed from the New Year’s music programs of Channel One and the VGTRK holding. In the end he made a public apology. Later Russian Authors Society submitted a lawsuit once morest the singer for two million rubles.
