The Finals players are calling on Embark Studios to nerf the Featherweight class’ Camouflage ability, dubbed “ defective ».
The Finals features three classes offering different combat abilities and playstyles. Each gives players unique ways to take their enemies by surprise. However, there is one skill that seems to be causing a stir within the gaming community: Camouflage.
This Featherweight class skill makes players difficult to see while moving and invisible when standing still. As you can imagine, this can make counterattacking rather tricky, especially when you have no idea where the enemy is.

Well, the gaming community is now demanding that developers nerf or rework the way this ability works in The Finals.
The Finals players request nerfs for Light Build’s camouflage ability
In a post on Reddit, the player u/chowmingbigboi mentioned the problem. He asked : ” Anyone else having trouble seeing invisibility? Most of the time I don’t see them and the lack of audio doesn’t help either. The only time I see them is if the light shines on them, otherwise I pray in dark buildings or areas ».
Other players agreed, with many saying how unfair the skill is. They particularly criticized Camouflage when the player remains stationary.

« It’s very difficult to see them when they stay still behind a bush, or even near a bright spot in the environment, this is defective », replied a player. “ I’m sure Embark is cooking up some nerfs for this broken featherweight class in the meta. You just have to be patient ».
It remains to be seen how the developers will adjust the Camouflage Devices. One thing is certain, the community wants change. “ They must increase the distortion on screen or something “, suggested a player. “ Not only is this difficult to counter (since you can only use equipment-specific methods that cannot be changed mid-round to ranked), but it encourages poor play, without playing the objective ».

However, other players have noted that a nerf to the Featherweight build’s Camouflage ability would significantly decrease its competitive viability. “ Plume is in a bad situation at the moment and is a monster in quick play said one fan. “ In 95% of my matches, there isn’t even a featherweight in the third round lol. This is literally the only viable way to play it and it sucks ».
Finally, it remains to be seen whether the developers will nerf Camouflage. For now, be careful when scanning your surroundings for enemy threats.
