Kehrer in Monaco, things are heating up
The newspaper L’Equipe indicates in today’s edition that the announcement of the arrival of Thilo Kehrer (27 years old, West Ham) at AS Monaco should take place in the coming hours. The German international defender will therefore, barring any surprises, return to French pitches, having left them when he left PSG, in 2022.
- Our opinion: ASM needs to strengthen its defense, Kehrer must find playing time: it looks like a win-win deal.
Varane’s future at United is getting darker…
With increasingly little playing time and irregular performances, Raphaël Varane (30 years old) is starting to seriously deplete his confidence capital at Old Trafford. The Mancunian leaders would also have no intention of activating the optional one-year extension provided for in his contract, at least not at the current salary according to the Daily Mail.

… Lindelöf’s becomes clearer
If Manchester United did not want to extend Raphaël Varane’s lease, the Mancunian club has decided to maintain its confidence in Victor Lindelöf. In competition with the Frenchman, the Swedish international saw his contract extended by one year by the Red Devils. Lindelöf is therefore officially linked with United until June 2025.
- Our opinion: At least we cannot blame Mancunian leaders for lacking consistency.
OL want to attract Danjuma
It’s no longer a secret that OL will be one of the leaders of this winter transfer window. Arnaut Danjuma, Everton striker on loan from Villarreal, is particularly followed, as revealed by Foot Mercato. Fabrizio Romano nevertheless informs that the discussions have not yet advanced. OL will therefore try to speed things up in the coming days.
- Our opinion: It would be a significant offensive reinforcement for the Gones, but we would not bet our house on the realization of this deal.

De Gea back with the Red Devils?
Left through the back door last summer, David de Gea might find the Red Devils, according to the Mirror. According to the English media, the leaders of Manchester United would be tempted by the option of Gea, still without a club, while André Onana will play in the African Cup of Nations. His replacement, Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, does not convince the leaders of the Mancunian club with a view to taking over the interim.
- Our opinion: Even if he is without a contract, it is hard to imagine De Gea agreeing to come back and play stopgap in the absence of Onana.
Van de Beek loaned to Frankfurt
It’s official: Dutch international midfielder Donny van de Beek is joining Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season. Manchester United announced the news via a press release. This is a golden chance for the player to get back on track, having only appeared 62 times (two goals) for the Red Devils since his arrival in 2020.
- Our opinion: Let’s hope that the Dutchman finally manages to get closer to the level he had at Ajax.
Saudi Arabia returns to the charge for Salah
According to information from Sky Sports, a new pharaonic offer from Saudi Arabia should soon arrive for Mohamed Salah. Liverpool had already refused more than 150 million euros on the last day of the summer transfer window. Since then, the Reds’ position has not changed one iota: Mo Salah is not for sale.
- Our opinion: The Egyptian should not move this winter. Next summer, however, it may be a different story.
Soucek extends with the Hammers
Tomas Soucek, who reached the end of his contract in June with West Ham, extended his lease with the Hammers. Arriving in 2020, the 28-year-old Czech international midfielder is now linked to the London club until June 2027. He has made 182 appearances and 30 goals in the colors of West Ham.
- Our opinion: West Ham did very well to extend the man who has been one of its cornerstones for several years.
Rennes eyes Maripan
Eager to strengthen itself in all sectors of the game, and particularly in defense, Rennes covet Maripan according to information from Ouest-France. An apparently delicate track, beyond the price of the Chilean defender, estimated at 10 million euros. The Breton daily indicates that Rennes leaders still have to convince him to leave Monaco and accept a compromise on his salary.
- Our opinion: Rennes absolutely must strengthen themselves behind, but this file is undoubtedly not the easiest to complete.
