Jurgen Klopp Confident in Diogo Jota and Darwin Nuñez to Fill Scoring Gap During Salah’s Absence

Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, the top team in the English Premier League, is confident that Diogo Jota and Darwin Nuñez will step up and take on the burden of scoring goals in place of Mohamed Salah, who has a queue. Will definitely travel to help the Egyptian national team compete in the Africa Cup of Nations between 13 Jan. – 11 Feb.

Klopp admits that being without the team’s star striker like Salah for a month will definitely be a disaster. But it was not new at all because they had dealt with the same situation before. Plus it was even harder than this when Sadio Mane was still hunting the net at Anfield.

Klopp said: “Yes, it happened at a great time (Jota and Nuñez scored together in the 2-0 win over Burnley) and it was nice too. We played West Ham with Mo not starting to see. What can we do without him?”

“You want Mo Salah, he plays all the time. But he mightn’t play. You always have to find a solution. And we always find it. It’s not the first time It’s normal for you to lose your team’s top scorer.’

“But what we experienced in the past was worse when both Sadio Mane and Mo went to play for the national team. And there has to be at least one person who can go far in this tournament. We know there’s an Africa Cup of Nations and Mo has to play, so we have to deal with that,” the German coach concluded.
