The body of a man was found dead this Sunday evening, December 31, in the water in Stavelot, indicate our colleagues at Sudinfo. This is Olivier Roche, missing since December 23 near Malmedy.
On December 24, the federal police issued a wanted notice for this 59-year-old man from Malmedy. He was last seen leaving the establishment “La Taverne de Rome” located on Place de Rome in Malmedy between 11:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. Since then, he has not appeared once more.
A forensic pathologist, forensic police and the Victim Identification Service (DVI) attended the scene yesterday evening. They confirmed that it was indeed the 59-year-old Malmédian.
