There have been many interesting and dangerous reports related to air travel recently. Again, such a report has come out. The report concerns a Russian plane with 30 passengers on board that crashed into a frozen river. The plane landed with passengers on the frozen surface of the Kolyma River, which is known for its freezing weather and temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.

According to the BBC, on December 28, flight YAP217, which took off from Yakutsk, the capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Russia, unexpectedly landed in the river. The flight was bound for Sirianga, 1,100 km away. As the plane approached the Siriyanka airport, the pilot attempted to land it on the runway when it skidded off the runway and overshot the Kolyma River. It is said that the pilot might not see the runway properly due to snow cover, which caused such an error.
