It’s hard to imagine that 9 years ago today I sat at the PC just as I do now and started writing and publishing. My first blog post on my newly designed blog. Without any knowledge of what a blog actually is and how much work goes into it, and especially how many people are already doing it. It’s often good not to know everything 100%, otherwise I probably would never have started writing a blog.
But everything in order…
What is a blog anyway?
One thing in advance: A blog is not the daily publication of pictures on Instagram (even if many people on Instagram claim that). A blog is a virtual diary or journal on the Internet. The author of a blog publishes his own editorial contributions on various topics. The activity of writing on a blog is called blogger. A blog involves regularly publishing your own opinion on various topics on your own homepage or blog.
How did I become a blogger?
9 years ago I didn’t even know what a blogger was. I loved writing as a child; essays at school were my great passion. About 11 years ago, I regularly published my knowledge as an image consultant and expert for the 50+ target group on numerous press portals. I am also co-author of the marketing book “Boombranchen 50plus”. At some point someone recommended that I write down my knowledge and knowledge of the 50+ target group in a blog. And so exactly 9 years ago today I started my first article, which was regarding a red dress for New Year’s Eve. So it’s an outfit for women 50 plus.
What defines my blog
My blog is all regarding women in the 50+ target group. Being this age myself, I know what is important to us, what touches us and that we definitely don’t have to be invisible at this age. I encourage my readers to feel comfortable in their own skin. It doesn’t matter what size we are. I give styling tips and publish inspiration for combinations that every woman can create for herself. You don’t always have to buy everything new to look good. Combining existing clothing with something new every now and then is what I give my readers.
Since I am an IHK-certified etiquette trainer, my blog contains tips and suggestions on modern etiquette. Everyone can refresh their knowledge or find out that they are up to date with the latest “morals”.
Traveling is my great passion. This year alone I have traveled over 15 times. I don’t publish every trip on my blog. I share my most beautiful trips with you to give you inspiration for new destinations or experiences.
Looking good and feeling good in your skin are also among the topics that concern ladies over 50. We don’t have to spend hours every day before the game to look well groomed and good. With my tips on care and make-up techniques, I would be happy to help you look good at 50 plus without looking overpainted. By the way, a few years ago I became 3rd German make-up champion – for those who don’t know (laugh…).
