The government site Rappel Conso warns of the presence of pieces of hard plastic in batches of sausages. The product is sold by E.Leclerc stores throughout France.

Since December 29, 2023, this batch of “Volandrie” brand sausages has been the subject of a voluntary recall throughout France.

Two types of sausages affected

Marketed by E.Leclerc stores between December 14 and 28, 2023, the “Poultry sausages x6 300g” et “Poultry sausages herbs de Provence x6 300g” of the brand “Volandrie” are recalled.

Sold throughout France, the two products show traces of pieces of hard and transparent plastic.

This concerns lot 34731420 (GTIN 3564700490044 and GTIN 3564700724170), the expiration dates of which are set for December 29 and 31, 2023.

Risk of injury

If you have purchased this product, the government site advises not to consume it as a precaution “due to the risk of injury that might cause the ingestion of these products.”

Before the end of the recall procedure date, set for January 16, 2024, you can contact consumer service on 0 800 865 286 and return the product to the point of sale where a refund will be made.
