Dr. Oh Eun-young recalled the memory of being diagnosed with colon cancer with 3 months to live.

He continued, “I felt so sorry that I mightn’t see my child grow up. I felt sorry that the parents mightn’t be by my side for a long time when I needed them to stay healthy. I was so sorry that I mightn’t help but say my child’s name as I entered the operating room. “I called,” he confessed.

He said, “The first thing I said when I called (name) was, ‘I’m sorry, mom. I’m sorry, mom.’ He was sorry for everything. I should have petted him one more time. I should have told him I love him. I should have taken him somewhere when I had time.” “I should have taken a picture. That was all I had in mind,” he said.
At the same time, he said to the client, “I think my mother felt the same way. Everyone knows how she felt because she came forward with such a firm decision and earnest heart. I will teach her well in some way.”
It was reported that Dr. Oh was diagnosed with a terminal tumor in 2008 due to gallbladder tumor and colon cancer. He said on KBS 2TV’s ‘The Joy of Conversation 3’ in June 2021, “It was an early discovery, so the (tumor) was completely removed through surgery and I recovered well.”
