Marchtrenk: 26-year-old broke into newspaper cash registers with tow hooks

The police emergency number was called around 2:50 a.m. A witness from Marchtrenk saw a man breaking into newspaper cash registers there.

A patrol from the state control center was immediately sent there. After a short search, the suspect was caught – he is a 26-year-old Romanian citizen. He was stopped and checked on Linzer Strasse.

During the personal search, in addition to the stolen goods, a car tow hook was also seized. The man was arrested and questioned at the police station. After consultation with the Wels public prosecutor’s office, the 26-year-old was released.
