A leak sheds light on the Nothing Phone (2a). Less and less mysterious, the device this time lets us glimpse the technical specifications of its photo sensors, but also its potential release slot. Hint: it would be soon.

The Nothing Phone (2a) is getting a little more attention at the very end of 2023. The device, which should in some way be an improved version of the Phone (1), but less expensive than the Phone (2) , had already been leaked last month. This week we learn more regarding its photo sensors and its potential launch date. Two particularly interesting pieces of information to which we had not yet had access.
As reported Android Authoritythis new leak comes to us from Smartprix and some leaker Kamila Wojciechowska. At the same time, the specialized site also managed to get its hands on the wallpapers first officials of Nothing Phone (2a), accessible at this address.
50 Mpx sensors on the menu and an upcoming release?
According to the information revealed by Smartprix, the Nothing Phone (2a) would be equipped with a 50 Mpx Samsung S5KGN9 main module (with 1/1.5 inch sensor and 1 µm pixels), and a secondary Samsung S5KJN1 ultra wide-angle module, 50 Mpx too (with 1/2.76 inch sensor and 0.64 µm pixels). In this case, this main photo sensor brings it closer to certain models already available in the mid-range, such as the Motorola Moto G84, while the ultra wide-angle sensor used would be identical to that used by the other Nothing Phones. On the front, we would finally find a 32 Mpx Sony IMX615 sensor.

For the rest, the device would rely on an Amoled and 120 Hz panel benefiting from a 2K definition (1084 by 2412 pixels) of 6.7 inches. This screen would be manufactured by the Chinese Visionox and BOE. The device would also be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which would definitively confirm its mid-range positioning.
Finally, the Nothing Phone (2a) would be expected in two colors (black and white), although only one color might be available at launch. As for the launch, precisely, the latter would take place on the occasion of MWC 2024… which will be held on February 27 in Barcelona. So we wouldn’t have much longer to wait to find out more.
