This is definitely not the case for one of the actresses in the 1990 feature film, who admitted, in an interview with the Daily Mail, to having watched the film only once in 33 years and to having burst into tears during viewing.

Kristin Minter, who plays Heather McCallister, the oldest child in the first film, says she was sick and cried a lot when she attended a viewing of “Mommy, I Missed the Plane.”

“It was the first viewing I went to for a film I was in. As soon as I saw my face on the screen, I started crying. Since then, I have never wanted to watch it once more. I’ve seen excerpts, but I hate hearing my own voice!” says the actress, now 58 years old.

“It’s easier when I play a character who is very far from me, like when I play a drug addict. I often play villains and I have no problem seeing myself in roles that are not at all close to me. The more horrible I look, the easier it is for me to look at myself!” she adds.

Aged 22 during the filming of “Mom, I Missed the Plane,” Kristin Minter was making her film debut. She has since appeared in several films, but especially many successful TV series such as “The Outsiders”, “General Hospital”, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “Nip/Tuck”, “The Mentalist”, “Ray Donovan” and “This Is Us.”
