The young man had a psychotic attack and was beaten by several neighbors, who believed he was hitting his mother.

Yhon Capracio González had been living in Chile for five of his 20 years. After leaving Venezuela, he passed through several cities in Chile until he reached Quillota.

There he settled in the Boco sector and achieved some stability as an agricultural worker, to the point that three years ago he was able to take his mother Oneida González to live with him.

But, in an inexplicable way, following the reunion and these years living together, today Oneida mourns the death of her son, in a fact that is still being investigated, since, until now, the death of the young Venezuelan has an undetermined cause, according to the authorities.

The tragedy would have occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 17, when – in the first instance – Yhon Capracio would have suffered a strange decompensation, a type of psychotic attack when he was with his mother.

She, very scared and worried regarding her son, would have called neighbors to hold him.

“He even pulled out some electricity cables with his teeth,” said his mother, Oneida González.

He suffered a beating

After the woman’s call for help, some neighbors arrived at the house. However, many thought that the young Venezuelan was attacking his mother, since the decompensation kept him very violent.

Then, according to the woman, her son was savagely beaten by some of them. “It was terrible, some came with sticks and I heard a neighbor screaming to hit her,” Oneida lamented, also ensuring that there are videos in which you can see the aggression towards her son.

The young man was finally tied up by some neighbors, to hold him until the arrival of Carabineros, who took him into custody for the crime of domestic violence, as confirmed to the head of the Fourth Carabineros Police Station of Quillota, Major Emilio Hermosilla.

He was later transferred to the institution’s temporary barracks on Esmeralda Street, but due to the absence of a cell to hold the detainees, Yhon was later transferred in custody to the Seventh Police Station of La Calera.

He felt bad

It was in La Calera where the young Venezuelan began to have very intense abdominal pain and, as it turned out, at the same time he suffered a hemorrhage, so the police took him to the Artifice Emergency Public Attention Service.

Unfortunately, following a series of attempts to try to recover his vital signs, the young migrant died on Monday, December 18.

The case was brought to the attention of the Prosecutor’s Office, which ordered the PDI Valparaíso Homicide Brigade to take charge of the investigation, in addition to a series of expert reports by the Legal Medical Service, to determine the cause of the young man’s death.

Despite this, until now the cause of death remains undetermined, according to the mother, who on Thursday, December 21, buried her son’s body.

“I want justice to be done. “We were going to cremate my son, but it wasn’t possible, because they may need to do more tests on the body,” said Oneida González, who keeps the videos of the beatings that the neighbors gave her son to “help” her in containment. .

According to what she has been informed, Yhon’s mother detailed that the results of the forensic tests might be available the first week of January.

“They told us that (the participation of) third parties is not ruled out and that it is possible that they will ask for new expertise. That’s why we mightn’t cremate him,” lamented the woman, who insisted that she is only interested in seeing justice done for the memory of her son.
