Continuing our series of articles showing the new features coming with iOS/iPadOS 17.2 and macOS Sonoma 14.2, today the focus is on Apple MusicMaçã’s music streaming service.
From these versions of the operating systems that equip iPhones, iPads and Macs, it became possible to disable the addition of songs marked as favorites to the Apple Music library.

How to disable adding favorite songs to Apple Music on iPhone/iPad
Open Settings, tap “Music” and, in the “Library” section, uncheck “Add Favorite Songs”.
How to disable favorites in Apple Music on Mac
With the Music app open, go to Music » Settings… in the menu bar or use the shortcut ⌘ command ,.
Then, click on the “Advanced” tab and uncheck “Favorites” in the “Add songs to Library when adding to” section.
Finally, click “OK” to save.
