Kozhikode: Kanthapuram Abubakar Musliar said that the Congress should express its position on the invitation to the opening ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Kanthapuram told the media that there will be talented people among them to answer the Congressmen. He was speaking at a press conference called in connection with the 100th anniversary announcement of Samasta.
He said that he should comment on Shashi Tharoor’s Palestinian statement and not him to reply to the person’s comment.
At the same time, he said that there is no doubt regarding the need for friendship with people of other religions and Mamburum Thangal Umar Khadi and others have shown that they live very friendly with people of other religions.
He said that the celebrations of non-religious people can still be done as it was done in the past in a way that does not make it Islamic.
SYS leader Abdul Hameez Faizi Ambalakadav had earlier said that celebrations like Christmas should be guarded once morest spreading to the Muslim community.
He said that holding the 100th anniversary of Samasta on its own will not be a hindrance to Sunni unity and let the EK faction also hold the 100th anniversary.
He also informed that the announcement of the 100th anniversary celebration will be held on December 30 at Kasaragod Chattanchal.
