    Container freight rates from Asia are skyrocketing due to the suspension of Suez Canal navigation by major container shipping companies. Ships bound for Europe and the east coast of North America will be routed via the Cape of Good Hope, which will lengthen the voyage, so the detour is expected to cause temporary disruption and tighter transport demand.
