The World Health Organization (WHO) released this Monday (25) “moving” reports gathered by its teams at a hospital in the Gaza Strip, where the victims of a bombing in a refugee camp arrived.
“The WHO team heard moving testimonies from medical staff and victims regarding the suffering inflicted by the explosions,” said the head of the UN health agency, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on the X social network.
“A child lost his entire family in the bombing of the camp. A nurse at the hospital suffered the same loss, her entire family died,” she added.
The Health Ministry of Gaza, governed by Hamas since 2007, says that at least 70 people died in the attack that took place on Sunday night in Al-Maghazi, in the center of the Palestinian territory.

At Al-Aqsa hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the center of the Strip, many bodies were lined up in white body bags before the funerals.
The hospital reported that hundreds of injured people arrived there following the bombing, according to the WHO chief.

“The number of patients treated by the hospital far exceeds its bed and staff capacity,” he emphasized. “Many will not survive the wait,” she added.
“This latest bombing of a Gaza community shows why an immediate ceasefire is necessary,” he wrote.

“He was crossing the street in front of the shelter where his family was, and the building next door was hit,” he said. “He was hit by shrapnel and debris, and his brain tissue was damaged.”
“No one can do anything for him. Like so many places here, there is no capacity to treat complex neurological cases, complex traumatic cases,” he lamented.
“This situation is unacceptable”, he stressed angrily. “This needs to stop.”
