A source familiar with the case of dancer Sama Al-Masry revealed the scenes behind her arrest, in implementation of a court ruling imprisoning her for two years – of which she served a year in prison – accusing her of publishing indecent videos and incitement to prostitution via social media sites.
The Court of Cassation accepted the Public Prosecution’s appeal, increased Sama Al-Masry’s imprisonment from one year (which she served and was released) to two years, and fined her 100,000 pounds.
The source said that Sama Al-Masry was completing paperwork for “driving and car” licenses in traffic, so they told her that she was required to pay 300,000 pounds in fines in her cases and that she must bring a letter from the prosecution to pay.
The source – who declined to be named – added that the security inquiry revealed that a ruling had been issued to increase her sentence to two years, and thus she was arrested and referred to the Fifth Settlement Department, to be transferred to prison to carry out the sentence.
It is noteworthy that on November 27, the relevant authorities released the dancer Sama Al-Masry following carrying out the prison sentences once morest her, amounting to 3 and a half years.
The artist, Sama Al-Masry, recently appeared on her personal Instagram account, following her release from prison, where she published a picture of herself from her participation in the presidential elections.
