In response to media inquiries, the Buildings Department stated that in the past, it had issued clearance orders for unauthorized construction and illegal site formation works of individual detached houses in Panlong Peninsula due to reports, and had instituted prosecutions once morest owners who failed to comply. However, recent aerial photos show that , there are still other detached houses in the housing estate involved in unauthorized construction, illegal site formation works and illegal occupation of government land, so a joint operation was launched.
