No one becomes king of the seas without first having swum among sharks and having done a little exercise. In the case of Jason Momoa it is no different either, and although we all think of the Hawaiian actor as one of the strongest guys in all of Hollywood, the truth is that he has achieved it through pure effort, but also a strict diet that has made him become who he is, none other than the man behind Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones or Aquaman from the DC superhero movies.

Momoa, who has just presented Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, his new appearance in the DC universe and perhaps also his last as he expressed a few days ago, has strict training to achieve the incredibly muscular physique that he shows in his films. A physique that he has been exhibiting since one of his first great appearances as an actor in a very palmy series, Baywatch, in which he entered in 1999 to play Jason Ioane, a role for which he lied saying that he was a recognized model of several brands, but from which he would create an entire image around very muscular characters.

Jason Momoa’s physical change in 20 years: from ‘Baywatch’ to ‘Aquaman’

Despite his great natural physique due to genetics – “Hawaiians are big people,” he would admit in an interview -, it takes a lot of dedication and a strict diet to look the way he does. After starring in Baywatch twenty years ago, Momoa, who is 1.90 meters tall and weighs around 117 kilos, has followed strenuous regimens to increase her muscles and get in shape for numerous film roles. “We did regarding six hours of training a day, two hours of sword work, then rested and stretched, did three hours of weights and then cardio and tried to get as much sleep as possible and ate boiled chicken breast every two hours… which It’s not very good,” Momoa acknowledged in an interview regarding his preparation for Conan the Barbarian.

“To have a beautiful body and live healthily, you have to eat clean. Don’t eat junk and exercise. We did extreme things, like lifting heavy weights, but two hours of exercise a day makes you feel better, and eat healthy. “Don’t eat a lot, eat a little.” In addition to picking chicken and exercising often, Jason is known for listening to heavy metal when he is training for a movie.

His preparation has reached such a point that not even the horses he rode in Game of Thrones wanted him on their back. “Right now I am at 260 (117 kilograms). Would you want me on your back? The horses don’t want me on them. They say, ‘No, let me go.’ So they like to shake me,” Momoa acknowledged in an interview.
