Pokémon Go players are unhappy with Pokémon hatching from 12km eggs and are calling on Niantic to change the Pokémon that emerge.
Pokémon Go embodies the essence of classic Pokémon games, encouraging players to wander around in an effort to become like Ash and “Catch them all!”

There are different types of eggs, each requiring a certain distance to travel before the Pokémon inside is ready to enter the world (just like in classic Nintendo games).

Pokémon Go players unhappy with 12km eggs
A Pokémon Go fan expressed his frustrations, complaining regarding the existence of “worthless” eggs in the game: “Does anyone else feel like 12km eggs are almost worthless at this point?”
The original poster wasn’t unhappy with the 12km egg, saying it successfully hatched Pokémon “relevant for raids/PVP”. But now, with the game further along in its lifecycle, he complained that it was time for Niantic to make a change.

“I swear, if I hatch another useless sandile, pancham, or pawniard, I’m going to go crazy. Niantic needs to change things up and put something new/rare to strive for.” They said.
Other players mightn’t help but join in and agree with the original poster, but admitted to being drawn to the rarity of red eggs.
“Yeah, they still suck. The eggs are such a disappointment but I’m going to keep chasing those red eggs.”
For some fans of the mobile game, the red eggs treated them well, with one player raving regarding their recent experience with the 12km egg: “I got a shiny Scalpion a week or two ago. It was nice.”
