The district system, adopted since 2003, suffers from a series of dysfunctions which limit the efficiency of this mode of local governance. This is what emerges from the latest annual report of the Court of Auditors. The body chaired by Zineb El Adaoui called on “the Ministry of the Interior to review the role and skills assigned to the districts”.
