Five people, including a four-year-old child, died in a small plane crash in Brazil. According to the fire department, the accident occurred on Saturday morning in the interior of the state of São Paulo in the municipality of Jaboticabal. In addition to the child, the victims include three men and one woman, as the Brazilian newspaper “Folha de São Paulo” reported, citing the fire department.
The bodies were found charred because the single-engine plane reportedly caught fire and exploded following impact. The cause of the crash was unknown at the time. The plane was in good condition but carried an extra person as it only had space for a pilot and three other passengers, it said.
