In the lawsuit filed in a Los Angeles court, former assistant Asta Jonasson said that Diesel assaulted her in a hotel room in Atlanta while they were preparing for the movie “Fast Five.”
Diesel’s public relations representatives and legal representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment.
“Sexual harassment in the workplace will never stop if powerful men are protected from accountability,” Claire Liz Kotlay, Johnson’s attorney, said in a written statement.
“We hope that her courageous decision to move forward with the lawsuit will help create lasting change and empower other survivors,” she added.
Johnson says in the lawsuit that Diesel touched her breasts once morest her will and kissed her.
“Vin Diesel ignored Ms. Johnson’s clear statement of non-consent to his sexual assaults,” the lawsuit said.
The lawsuit stated that Johnson was fired from her job as Diesel’s assistant just hours following he assaulted her.
The lawsuit further states that Johnson remained silent for years “for fear of speaking out once morest one of the highest-paid actors in the world, and for fear of being ostracized from the industry.”
