Mistreatment

A minor under 10 years old, in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, was, for a significant period of time, the victim of mistreatment and accusations of witchcraft practices. The complaint states that the attacks were recurrently carried out by the father himself, whose actions forced the child to leave the house to an uncertain place. In Icolo and Bengo, Luanda province, an 8-year-old child was the target of successive physical attacks and mistreatment carried out by his mother. The neighbors were forced to break down the door of the attacker’s house in order to remove the minor.

In the province of Namibe, in Moçâmedes, there was a case of physical aggression and ill-treatment whose victim was an 8-year-old child. Exploitation of child labor

Finally, from the municipality of Talatona, INAC received four complaints, with emphasis on the case of a 14-year-old male child who has been a victim of child labor. According to the complaint, the child was exploited by an individual aged approximately 36 years, who forced the victim to sell alcoholic beverages and some psychoactive substances, until the early hours, in a commercial establishment.
