Two children under the age of 8 were sexually raped by their own parents, in the provinces of Luanda and Benguela, according to the weekly report from INAC’s SOS-Criança Service, which receives reports from across the country, involving violence once morest the defenseless.

In the province of Uíge, INAC received a report of sexual abuse, in which a 12-year-old child was the victim, attacked by an alleged 54-year-old pastor, who was also arrested. On the other side of the country, in Malanje, of the 30 reports that reached INAC, one of sexual abuse stood out, which occurred in the main municipality, Canambua neighborhood, with a 10-year-old child being the victim of a 29-year-old individual.
Mistreatment
A minor under 10 years old, in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi, was, for a significant period of time, the victim of mistreatment and accusations of witchcraft practices. The complaint states that the attacks were recurrently carried out by the father himself, whose actions forced the child to leave the house to an uncertain place. In Icolo and Bengo, Luanda province, an 8-year-old child was the target of successive physical attacks and mistreatment carried out by his mother. The neighbors were forced to break down the door of the attacker’s house in order to remove the minor.
They then proceeded to report the incident, which resulted in the arrest of the accused, at the Municipal Police Command, at the Zango 5 police station. In the province of Namibe, in Moçâmedes, there was a case of physical aggression and ill-treatment whose victim was an 8-year-old child.
