Elusive is perhaps the word that best defines Benoît Poelvoorde. A tortured and excessive personality, the native of Namur in Belgium is a somewhat unique figure in the French-speaking landscape. In 2016, however, it was another facet of Poelvoorde that Virginie Efira spoke regarding on Télé-Loisirs. She then insisted on the shyness and sensitivity of the actor, once more with a lot of tenderness:
The shyest is Benoît Poelvoorde. We have the impression that some people have great extravagance, are very extroverted, but I think there is an enormous shyness, a mask. It’s someone, on an intimate level, who is more difficult to find. It’s a way of hiding, of disguising yourself, in a very elegant way. His humor, for example, is a form of display, and hides a deep melancholy.
Now aged 46, and recently a new mother, Virginie Efira intends to continue partying and stay young. The one who has long enjoyed going out in the evening still retains some old habits, which she does not deny:
To dance ? I love the idea, and when it happens to me, I feel like I’m 20. What’s terrifying is the slightly disgusted look on my daughter’s face, especially since I’m still dancing to hip-hop with my finger in the air, like in the 1980s. It’s true that I’m probably completely nerdy , but I assume!
Despite everything, age and the passage of life have taken their toll, and the beautiful blonde confides that she and her partner now adopt a calmer lifestyle, the proof:
