Tyler Morgan, who works under the name @hitomidocameraroll recently got over 11 million views in the video where he explains the best tips to improve your battery life.

According to a survey, Americans check their phones nearly 96 times a day, or approximately every 10 minutes! It is therefore essential to have a device capable of performing and, above all, lasting.

Here are the tips given by the TikToker to preserve the battery.

1- Do not charge the battery to 100%

As bizarre as it may seem, the young man warns that charging the battery to 100% overnight causes the battery to age prematurely.

Instead, he recommends setting a charge limit of 80%, which you can do in the settings.

“Go to settings, battery, battery status and charging, enable charging optimization. If you want to be conservative, put it at 80%,” assures Tyler Morgan.

2- Disable background activity

Background activity consumes a lot of power.

All apps displayed on the screen run in the background and use battery power to stay up to date. However, it is also possible to update them via Wi-Fi, or only when they are open.

To disable background activity, you must access these settings, General and clicking on Background application refresh.

3- Geolocation services

The Apple expert also advises turning off location services for apps they don’t use.

To get there, you need to go to Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, and choose which apps use Location Services at certain times.

4- Disable Siri

While some people swear by the Siri personal assistant, others never use it! If this is your case, it is suggested to simply disable it.

5- Automatic updates

It is also suggested to turn off all automatic updates, lower the brightness and turn off Bluetooth. Sure, “it’s going to detract from your phone experience,” but it’ll be useful if you want your battery to be “saved so bad.”

The young man also gives a host of other tips for using the iPhone more efficiently, like sending a text message with one hand!
