Lately, Karina “The Little Princess” has spoken openly regarding her diagnosis of depression and even helped open the debate regarding mental health. However, in Not very correctsurprised by saying that these difficulties led her to consider leaving music.
“I think that the pandemic made many of us realize many things. And the truth is that sometimes you cover up problems with a lot of work. This happens to everyone, right? And not being able to do it, being locked up and everything, you found your problems and that made them come out,” the singer began by saying in the program hosted by Chino Leunis and Pollo Álvarez on eltrece.
“There are many people who are daring to talk regarding what mental health is and everything. But me, today I’m in a good, good moment. “When I talked regarding it, it was because I was already taking care of it,” Karina added, sincerely.
“Last year I had a moment where I said ‘I’m leaving music and I’m going to look for work somewhere else where they don’t know me.’ Sometimes you get crazy and you don’t know where to shoot, but now I feel good and I learned a lot of things. I learned that, although I have been on television for 20 years, TV is not my home. I can feel at home, but there are things that are told to friends. There was a lot that I didn’t tell and time told me ‘it’s good that you didn’t tell it,’” Karina closed, with the honesty that characterizes her so much.
