The new drama series titled Cromañón, which delves into the fictional representation of the devastating event in which 194 people died in the Once bowling alley fire, in addition to deeply impacting the existence of some of the survivors, revealed today its first official images , anticipating what will be its launch through a streaming platform, scheduled for 2024.

Almost 19 years later, the national government created the national historical monument in the old dance hall where Cromañón operated following the long struggle of the victims’ relatives who demanded expropriation for the creation of a memory site.
Through decree 571/2023, published in the Official Gazette, the Government declared the buildings of the former dance venue “República Cromañón” and the former adjacent hotel, located on Bartolomé Miter Street N°3038/3078, as well as the plot open sky existing on 51 Jean Jeaures Street as a national historical monument, considering them “key pieces due to their testimonial value.” These properties had already been declared last year as “of public utility and subject to expropriation”, through Law No. 27,695.
