The request was made by Lídia Nambalo, 12 years old, who spoke on behalf of the more than 300 children who participated in the inter-generational Solidarity Christmas celebrations, which is promoted by the MPLA in December every year.

For this year’s edition, the central event of the celebrations takes place in the province of Huíla, where, on the occasion, Lídia Nambalo said on behalf of all children, that there is still a lot to be done for the benefit of her generation.

“We recognize that a lot has been done, particularly in the construction of more classrooms and hospitals, but we need more leisure facilities linked to technological equipment for the full development of children,” he argued.

In turn, the Vice-President of the MPLA, Luísa Damião, who presided over the event, responded that her party is attentive to all needs, therefore, in the near future, it will continue to invest more in the education and health sectors.

According to him, this is the spirit of the leader of his party who has been guiding actions aimed at solving many problems that affect the country and children in particular.

“We are attentive to the needs of all children, so we will continue to work to provide more schools, more hospitals, more leisure so that we can meet our 11 commitments to children”, he pointed out.

José Nahambo, a university professor, stated that inter-generational meetings should be held on all the most important dates in the country, so that they can get in touch with the history of Angola.
