Ciudad Bolívar.- The College of Dentists of Venezuela (COV) and the Cicpc, make agreements to address the issue inherent to the oral health of the Bolivar population, reported Dr. Manuel Silva Fernández, president of the COV Bolívar.
Silva Fernández, indicated that the actions are planned within the framework of a national agreement between the College of Dentists of Venezuela (COV) and the Corps of Scientific Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc), represented by its director, Commissioner Douglas Rico and, the Investigation Division of Crimes Against Public Health of that detective force, carried out in the city of Caracas.
The renowned union member noted that last Friday, December 15, he was received by the head of the Ciudad Bolívar Municipal Delegation, Commissioner Amado Alvarado, and the Deputy Inspector, Kelvin Girón, to discuss issues directly related to oral health.
“We are going to work together to combat organized crime related to crimes once morest oral health committed by people without being duly certified as dentists, causing serious harm to the population in terms of oral health,” said the doctor.
He assured that crimes such as illegal exercise of the dentistry profession and usurpation of functions are committed. “Crimes classified in the Organic Code of Criminal Procedure (Copp) that can lead to imprisonment between 2 and 6 years for those who commit them.”
Dr. Manuel Silva Fernández called on the population, especially young people, to verify that they are treated by dental professionals and report those who are not and practice it illegally.
Likewise, he expressed that those who feel scammed and have a complaint in this regard can go to the headquarters of the College of Dentists of the state of Bolívar, which operates at the Professional Center located on Angostura Avenue, next to the Colleges of Engineers. and State Doctors.
