2023-12-18 00:51:10

18 Dec. 2023 – Mr. Thepthai Senphong, former MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat, posted on Facebook “Thepthai Senphong – Talking regarding Politics” with the topic “16 months in prison of Cadet Thepthai and 4 months in Thaksin Police Hospital” stated that it is as different as the sky and the abyss. I would like to reflect on the life of an ordinary prisoner. One person who was detained in prison said, Being imprisoned in prison for 14 months compared to staying at the Police Hospital on the 14th floor. Why is there such a mysterious difference between C.C. Thaksin Shinawatra and C. Thepthai Senphong? No need to compare. Other prisoners

1. I entered prison on July 7, 2022, following which there was a royal pardon decree on the occasion of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn’s 70th birthday. and the 84th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn At the end of the royal decree Conditions have been set. Reduce the sentence for prisoners Have been imprisoned for not less than one-third of the sentence or not less than 8 years of a prison sentence of 25 years or more and must be a high-class prisoner This condition is a resolution of the Cabinet. never before But when there are conditions like this Makes me lose the right to receive a reduction in punishment. which I can accept It is a rule that is enforced on all prisoners. But please let the said conditions be enforced every time. Must not change. or there was a misunderstanding of the conditions in the royal pardon decree.

2. When I was imprisoned for 8 months, 1/3 of the total sentence was fulfilled. He has asked the Department of Corrections to consider suspending his sentence. According to the announcement of the Department of Corrections that came into force on December 14, 2020 and was canceled on a later occasion. I therefore propose that the conditions of the announcement be revised to be more stringent. and announced to be applicable to general prisoners But it appears that no answer has been received from the Director-General of the Department of Corrections, who has any authority. As a result, I missed out on my first chance of suspension. From the reasons for the delay in the suspension of sentences by the Department of Corrections

3. When Mr. Thaksin returns to Thailand to receive punishment according to the judgment Therefore, he asked for personal forgiveness. and received a royal pardon and reduced the sentence from 8 years to 1 year. I saw that my qualifications and Mr. Thaksin’s were not different. Therefore, he wrote a letter requesting a royal pardon. through the Department of Corrections as well

4. While I was imprisoned in prison He became ill, had stomach pain, and chest tightness. He requested to be taken to Maharaj Hospital for medical treatment. Nakhon Si Thammarat has been in treatment for 5 days following an order from the top executive of the Department of Corrections. Put pressure on the prison commander And the officers immediately took me back to Nakhon Si Thammarat Central Prison. This is different from the case of Thaksin. who is still being treated at the police hospital without knowing the illness and will continue to be treated indefinitely

5. I have been classified. Come to the professional development department at the Huai Phra Temporary Prison for regarding 7 months until an order was given to bring him back to Nakhon Si Thammarat Central Prison once more. and was imprisoned in Nakhon Si Thammarat Central Prison for nearly 2 months before receiving an order from the Department of Corrections To come out and stay at Huai Phra Kaset Temporary Prison. one more time

6. I received a suspended sentence according to the announcement of the Department of Corrections. that applies to general prisoners That is, he has been imprisoned for 2/3 of his sentence. therefore received a suspended sentence While I was confined to prison for 16 months, the 2017 Corrections Act came into force. But no ministerial regulations were issued. or regulations of the Department of Corrections, but not a single one of them was beneficial to my imprisonment. This is different from the case of Thaksin. which has hastily issued ministerial regulations and regulations of the Department of Corrections To support Thaksin’s imprisonment, yes or no?

I want society to keep an eye on December 22nd, 120 days since Thaksin stayed in the police hospital. I want to know what action the Department of Corrections will take. Are there any measures to bring Mr. Thaksin back to prison? and at the same time announced the Department of Corrections Regarding detention outside prison Effective from December 7, 2023, will Mr. Thaksin have rights under this announcement?
