a new office and a new strategy for IMPACT

The small association – chaired at its start in 2003 by Brigitte Vanvincq and which owes its name Christine Bianchi – which has become an association, is therefore preparing to enter a new era.

“We want to maintain the continuity of the actions that were initiated by the previous offices, maintain this atmosphere, this friendly side conducive to reunions and we hope to live up to the work already carried out by Alain Pétiard and his office,” explains Julien Fontaine, the future president of IMPACT. But we also have new ideas that we hope to be able to submit to members at the beginning of next year.”

For the new president, a single watchword: work collectively to promote the association and make it shine.

“I am open to all suggestions and I do not intend to manage vertically. On the contrary, with the treasurer and the secretary, we have the same way of seeing things, and we will carry out the missions together. Two other people also offered to help us monitor registrations and organize the evenings,” continues Julien Fontaine.

If he obtains the approval of the members, the new president would like to be able to renew the format of the evenings by offering thematic workshops on cruises, insurance, business travel or family travel for example. “Tour operators already organize workshops separately, and the idea with IMPACT is to offer travel agencies the opportunity to approach things differently,” he explains.

In the same spirit, and although the association has a regional vocation, Julien Fontaine hopes to be able to set up evenings of conference-debates with one or more guests to address more general, national questions. “We might consider question-and-answer sessions on themes such as sustainable development, legal responsibility, employment, destinations or even technology,” he says.
