Separation Surgery for Eritrean Conjoined Twins in Riyadh: A Story of Hope and Humanity

Riyadh: Eritrean conjoined twins Asma and Sumaiya were brought to Riyadh to check the possibility of separating them through surgery. As per King Salman’s instructions, the children were brought to Riyadh Airport from Asmara along with their parents by air medical evacuation flight. The children were admitted to the King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Children at the Ministry of National Guard in Riyadh. The twins will undergo health tests in the coming days to check the possibility of separation.

Dr. King Salman, Crown Prince Amir Mohammed bin Salman, General Supervisor of King Salman Relief Center and Head of Siamese Surgery Department for the great humanitarian work shown to poor countries around the world by using the best medical skills of the country. Abdullah Al-Rabia thanked. The parents of the twins thanked the Saudi government and people for the warm welcome and hospitality they received in Riyadh. They also prayed that King Salman and the Crown Prince be rewarded with the best.
