For video games, the relationship between developers, the playing community, and the modders among them can play a crucial role in determining the longevity and success of a title. From the looks of it, the not entirely uncontroversial action role-playing game “Starfield” seems to be encountering resistance from this aspect too. A promising mod that was very popular in a similar form for “Skyrim” has now been discontinued with a pretty clear statement from the modder: “This game is garbage.”
