Police d’Austin

In Texas, a woman is accused of stealing an Uber driver’s car, which she found far too slow for her liking. She was arrested and briefly imprisoned.

The events took place last Friday shortly following midnight in Austin. Neusha Afkami, a 27-year-old Californian, had ordered an Uber to get to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The car picked her up at her hotel, reports Law&Crime.

The woman behind the wheel said Neusha Afkami became increasingly annoyed by the speed at which she was driving, blaming her for going too slowly.

Finally, the young Californian managed to grab the driver’s phone and threw it out of a window… The woman behind the wheel immediately stopped and stopped to collect her property. But in the meantime, the Californian grabbed the wheel and sped away.

Stolen credit card

Arriving at the airport, the young woman once more used an Uber driver’s credit card to make various purchases for a total amount of $120.

Alerted, the police managed to find her and then arrest her before she boarded her flight. She had on her the purchases purchased with the stolen card.

Neusha Afkam is being charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and credit card abuse. She theoretically risks up to two years in prison.

The young woman was briefly jailed and then released on $10,000 bail. She will have to answer for her actions in court on January 9.
